Gamma Omicron Zeta Chapter was chartered on March 2, 1953 and has been serving communities across Essex County, New Jersey ever since. With 80+ active members, we sponsor the undergraduate chapters at Montclair State University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Rutgers University-Newark, Bloomfield College, and Seton Hall University. On May 11, 2022 under President Ashley Salter a new undergraduate chapter was chartered at Caldwell University adding to our undergraduate umbrella. Along with scholarship, fundraising and service initiatives, we also sponsor and provide mentor opportunities for young women in elementary, middle & high school; women who are non- four year college graduates and men in our community who align with our principles. We are a life member of the NAACP and a member of the Essex County Chapter of the Pan Hellenic Council. Our members hold leadership positions on both the regional and state levels.
